Scrutinize Witch Hunter Robin Witch Hunter Robin is a Japanese anime series that combines elements of mystery, supernatural, and action genres. The storyline follows a group of individuals known as the "STN-J" who are tasked with hunting down and capturing witches. The main protagonist, Robin Sena, is a young girl with the ability to control and manipulate fire. As the series progresses, Robin begins to question the morality of her actions and the true intentions of the organization she works for. One of the main themes in Witch Hunter Robin is the exploration of morality and ethics. Robin is initially dedicated to her job and believes that capturing witches is the right thing to do.
The episodes are only 25-35 minutes each, so on any given movie night, we could watch three or four episodes.
Just Add Magic is about three best friends, Kelly, Darbie, and Hannah, around age 11 who find a mysterious cookbook in the attic that belonged to Kelly s grandmother. The way to do that seems to come down to a choice between studying and doing well in school or excelling in an extracurricular activity like dancing.
Robin is initially dedicated to her job and believes that capturing witches is the right thing to do. However, as she encounters more witches and learns about their struggles and reasons for using their powers, she begins to question the black-and-white mindset that the STN-J enforces. This moral dilemma forces the viewers to contemplate the nature of good and evil.

Based on the popular children’s book series by Cindy Callaghan , Just Add Magic follows 3 friends and related characters in their adventures with a vintage magical recipe book. Think Charmed, (the original), meets Halloweentown meets Sherlock and you’ll have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
Also, if you like to cook, you’ll find plenty of eye candy and inspiration for culinary delights. It may also inspire kids to learn to cook.
Like most shows, the first season can be a tad rough. Some of the performances during Season 1 were a little artificial with a touch of too much “Disney”. I’m a big Disney fan, so don’t take that the wrong way. But some of Disney’s newer kids’ shows severely underestimate the intelligence of the audience, which can be frustrating. This is what I mean by “too much Disney”.
Rest assured, these instances of “cheese” are few and far between and are pretty much gone after a half dozen of the 24-minute episodes.
Just Add Magic boasts an interesting cast of characters with intriguing stories that will keep you guessing. Each season has a full story arc that continues from one episode to the next; with the full 3 season run having its own over-arching story.

The Witches? Never in one million year (to be fair, I still am freaked out by the clip of this movie I saw as a child).
